The Hydro Dipping Process

1. Film Activation

The industrial process begins with a specialized PVA water-soluble film containing the printed design, precisely placed on the surface of a temperature-controlled water tank. A chemical activator solution is sprayed over the film. This critical step dissolves the carrier layer, leaving the ink floating as a vivid, micro-thin liquid layer on the water’s surface, ready for transfer onto any large insulated water jug or compact cup.

2. Immersion & Bonding

For a stainless steel wine bottle, water-transfer printing follows the product's shape, so pattern alignment and stretching can vary around curves and openings. Review placement and finish on an approved sample.
